Get your policyholders, customers or residents walking.

Swiss Challenge offers ready-made one-week walking challenges in German, French and Italian. You provide the reward; the app runs the challenge and reports back to you with aggregated figures.

Four ways to work together

  • Health insurers

An annual fee opens the app to all your policyholders. With their explicit consent, the app sends you a monthly certificate of their successful weeks, and you grant them a bonus on their supplementary insurance.

  • Insurance agencies and brands

A challenge under your name every week, free for participants. Every finisher receives the perk you offer, and prizes are drawn among the finishers.

  • Municipalities and public bodies

A challenge for your residents, with an aggregated participation report that can support a healthy-municipality label or a prevention programme.

  • Local businesses

A neighbourhood challenge shared by several businesses and managed online, with a perk from each business for the finishers.

A sponsored challenge, Monday to Monday

  1. Your challenge

A one-week challenge under your name, with your perk and your prizes.

  2. Participants

Entry is free. Steps come from Apple Health or from smartwatches.

  3. Finishers

Each one receives your perk, and the prizes are drawn among them.

  4. Your report

Sign-ups, finishers and successful weeks: aggregated figures, for groups of 10 or more.

The model for health insurers

  1. Annual fee

The insurer opens the app to all its policyholders, much as a bank might give its members free entry to museums.

  2. Successful weeks

Each policyholder plays the challenges of their choice, in any of the three modes.

  3. Monthly certificate

With the policyholder’s explicit consent: the successful weeks, without a day-by-day breakdown.

  4. The bonus

On supplementary insurance, never on basic insurance.

For a pilot, paying the bonus separately from the premium avoids waiting for FINMA to approve a premium discount. A six-month pilot can start once the beta has three months of verified figures.

What we guarantee

  • No individual data without consent

Sponsors receive aggregated figures for groups of 10 or more, with no names. Individual data is only shared with the person’s explicit consent: a contact request, through a separate, unticked box, or the monthly certificate sent to their health insurer.

  • Hosting in Switzerland

The app’s server runs in Geneva with a Swiss provider, under a data processing agreement that complies with the revised Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

  • Minimal data

One step total per day and per source, with no location or GPS track, and with explicit consent.

  • A checked legal framework

The rules of each challenge are written for Swiss law and reviewed by a lawyer before every pilot.

A pilot in four steps

  1. First conversation

We discuss your audience and goals, and the reward you would like to offer.

  2. Tailored challenge

We prepare the challenge, its rules and its wording in German, French and Italian.

  3. Six-month pilot

An aggregated report every month on sign-ups, finishers, successful weeks and retention.

  4. Joint decision

We decide together on the next steps, based on the pilot figures.

Three levels of involvement

Visibility, Engagement and Contact: three packages sold by the week, with a minimum term of three months. Prices depend on your audience and are sent on request.
